BECHS Wedding Event
"Married in Style: Blue Earth County Weddings.” Join BECHS newest exhibit 
Whether you have gotten married yourself or have only attended weddings, many hours go into the special day. The Blue Earth County Historical Society will be displaying many wedding dresses and memorabilia from April 22 through July 1 at the History Center, located at 424 Warren Street.
  From simple to extravagant, weddings come in all forms. View wedding dresses from the past 100 years and all the treasures that go into making each wedding day special in our latest exhibit.

City Hall and Library Relocation Beginning May 1st
Beginning Monday, May 1, city and utility offices and the public library will be moved to temporary locations for 6-8 months while the existing building is undergoing renovations and an addition. There will be no changes to the hours for city and utility offices during the move. The library will be closed Monday, April 24 through Sunday, April 30 and will reopen on May 1 with new hours. More details on the impacts of the project are provided below.
                                            CITY & UTILITY OFFICES
City and utility offices will be relocated to 106 E. Blue Earth St. with no changes to business hours. Services such as utility billing, building permits, cat and dog licenses, employment, code enforcement, human resources, administration, etc. will all continue to be provided at the temporary location.
                                                 PUBLIC LIBRARY
  The library will be relocated to 980 S. Main St. (Cornerstone United Methodist Church). The library will be closed Monday, April 24 through Sunday, April 30 and will reopen onMonday, May 1 with the following hours: 
                                     Monday,          1 PM to 6 PM
                                      Tuesday,        1 PM to 5:30 PM
                                      Wednesday,  10 AM to 6 PM
                                      Thursday,      1 PM to 5:30 PM
                                      Friday,            10 AM to 6 PM
                                      Saturday,       10 AM to 1 PM 
Patrons can enter through the Northeast doors and use the Northeast parking lot.
Council, commission and committee meetings will also undergo changes. Beginning May 1, meetings will either be held in the Community Room of the Emergency Services Building located at 181 S. Hunt St. or the Lake Crystal Area Recreation Center located at 621 W. Nathan St. Please be sure to check the meeting agenda for the official meeting location. Meeting agendas and other public notices will be posted at 106 E. Blue Earth St. and on the City’s website -
                                                  MARSTON PARK
During construction, areas around city hall will be fenced and unavailable for public use. This includes the gazebo. Some temporary street closures around Marston Park may be necessary. 
Additional information and updates on the construction project will be posted to the City’s website and facebook page on a regular basis. 
Please help us spread the word about the temporary relocation of the City and utility offices and the public library. 
The City Council, Public Utilities Commission, Blue Earth County Library System and staff greatly appreciate your patience and understanding during this project.

Adopt a Drain - Save our Lakes
The CWP has had their first "adoption" of the 2017 season! This adopted drain will be kept free of debris, which will keep phosphorus-producing organic material out of our lakes. If you'd like to adopt a drain, please contact the
            Crystal Waters Project.  
Vendors Wanted
The Chamber is looking for vendors, crafters, farmers market vendors and entrepreneurs to sell their wares at the upcoming Cruz 'IN Lake Crystal Classic car roll ins. Upcoming dates:
Every other Thursday beginning
 May 25th         
June 8th -June 15th -June 22nd 
          July 6th - July 15th -July 20th
 August 3rd - August 17th - August 31st 
and September 14th

Sign up today for the upcoming Spring City Wide Garage Sale on Friday & Saturday - May 12-13th. 
You can register your sale at the Lake Crystal Chamber office weekdays between 8:30 - 1:30 pmor by mail your registration form to the Chamber office: PO Box 27 - Lake Crystal.   Your $10 registration fee will get your sale and items listed in the map/handout, balloons and stake to flag your sale and will be featured in the paper.
