Western Governors University was holding its "Fund my Classroom" initiative again across four states. This was the first time teachers in Minnesota could submit their ideas for consideration. Jenna completed an application stating where the funds would be used and how it would impact students and was awarded a $1,020 grant this past Friday. Funds for her project will go towards 93 new books for our school that go along with our new reading curriculum. Books will help students to further their interests in topics of study or bring more of the new knowledge to life.

This morning the PTO pulled off another successful Morning with Moms, serving 820 donuts! Thank you to everyone for your help today!!! Special thanks to the custodians for their help in moving indoors when the rain started and for prep work beforehand for the PTO to put this event on. Thank you, Mr. Lee, Mr. Beert, and Mr. Redden for greeting everyone as they came in. Huge thank you to NHS students for helping us prep the bags this morning, greeting and taking photos for families. POET was a great addition too with flowers for our special mothers, grandmothers, and friends. And we can't forget to thank Kevin's Market for donating all of those delicious donuts, Cub Foods, the Echo Food Shelf for donating the fruit, and Taher for donating the juice!! Check out our Facebook page for more photos.
