This week is National School Counselor Week: February 6-10, 2023! We want to publicly acknowledge and say THANK YOU to our counselors (and social workers) for the work they do EVERY DAY at LCWM! There's not a day that goes by where students aren't in their offices talking about hard stuff in life, future planning, or just having normal relationship building conversations. Our counselors have a tremendous impact in helping our students achieve school success, process through life's moments, and plan for a career.

Scarlet from The Raptor Center visited LCWM Elementary School today! She brought along a Red-tailed hawk, an American Kestrel falcon, a Great horned owl, and a Bald eagle! Scarlet was very informative, and we loved having her here to tell us all about Raptors!

We all want our children to work hard and learn to be responsible members of the community. Every day, our LCWM school board members are leading the way by example. They give of their time so our children can have a first-rate education. Thank a school board member today!

The PTO sponsored Read-A-Thon begins this Wednesday, February 1st. Students can earn book fair cash for reading!
Miss Johnson's 5th Grade class has been busy! Last week they made lego bridges then tested their architecture. Today they had their first mystery skype of the year! They asked yes or no Geography based questions to figure out the location of the other class. They learned the class they were skyping was from Missouri. Both schools shared facts about their state.
The Elementary School raised over $1600 for the Backpack Food Program! The Backpack Food Program provides breakfast, lunch, and snacks for weekends and holidays to K-8th graders in need from our area!
Our PTO Penny Wars fundraiser runs February 6th-10th. We are raising money for a Adaptive Zipline.
